Kristy Robinson, MS, CMC
"After college, I moved from
Texas to New York City and was working on Madison Avenue as a commodities researcher. When my beloved Nana died, I started volunteering at a nursing home on the upper west side. I felt far more alive and fulfilled volunteering at the nursing home than I did at my job. I realized then my calling was to work with this population. It's the best job I can possibly imagine."
Kristy worked for the Alzheimer's Disease Center at Southwestern University Medical School in Texas where she was also on the faculty for the gerontology department and did adjunct work with the psychology dept in the area of depression in aging and depression and burn out in caregivers. She has done advocacy work for the AARP in the area of nursing home reform and more stringent regulations for assisted living facilities. Her main focus is using an integrative care approach for seniors to age in their own homes. She is also passionate about the psycho-social, ethical, and spiritual aspects of dying: and an approach to caregiving and caring for the dying that is relationship-centered.
She is the author of numerous articles and books on caregiving, Alzheimer's disease and aging.

Victor M. Hogue, BS
"For many people working with the elderly is a hobby or just a job. For me, it is my passion. Joining the Elder Options staff in 2010 has been the greatest thing to ever happen to me. I am able to teach, learn, and help someone along the way. If I had a positive effect on at least one individual's life then I can honestly say I made a difference."
Victor M. Hogue is a student at Meharry Medical College studying Medicine and Public Health. He graduated from Tennessee State University Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Victor's desire to study geriatrics started as a teenager, while seeing the hardships his grandparents faced with their health. Victor's passion lies within helping to make sure that seniors of all ages are happy, and well taken care of. He hopes to one day bridge the questioning gap of research within the senior community with illnesses such as dementia.
